Professional interaction and networking

Translation is regarded as a rather “solitary” profession, one that is practised by blissfully isolated freelancers in the peace and quiet of their homes. But that is not necessarily the standard. Physical isolation no longer means lack of social (or even professional) interaction – not these days, not with all the buzz of social media.

Customizing translation workflows

The regular “TEP” workflow will normally involve the project manager and at least two distinct linguists. However, when a client needs additional quality assurance (QA) measures, this standard workflow needs to be replaced by much more complex, customized workflows.
